Translation and Interpreting

If you have a problem with translating from Russian or into Russian, if you have a Russian speaking partner or if you intend to develop your business in a Russian speaking environment, we can help you.

A translation requires a thorough knowledge and perfect mastery of two languages, the source and the target. Indeed, it is very important to be able to appreciate all of the subtleties, to be able to understand in context, not only the meaning of words and phrases but also what is indirectly implied. A rough translation, made without a perfect mastery of both languages and their related cultures, can lead to all sorts of misconceptions and misunderstandings.

This perfect mastery characterizes our work. It is the key to our success and would be fully applied to satisfying your business requirements.

Sobennikova Gygax Version Russe offers all types of translation and interpreting:

The procedure currently in force in the canton de Vaud requires that the signature of the translator must be certified by a notary.

  • Translated Swiss documents meant to be produced outside of Switzerland must be apostilled at the Chancellerie d’Etat.
  • Foreign documents meant to be produced in Switzerland must be apostilled in the country which has issued them or in its embassy. It is better to do it before ordering translation and showing them to the Swiss authorities.

It is required that the translator has the original documents to complete the translation work.

Synchronized or simultaneous translation

  • You will need it to make a presentation, provide a conference or training. It is mandatory to have texts beforehand.

Consecutive translation

  • You will need it during a discussion with an interlocutor who does not speak your language. It is a method which consists of translating or resuming the content of one or more sentences after hearing them. Both interlocutors have to stop to enable the interpreter to do the translation.

Variant:
Liaison interpreting or accompanying by an interpreter.

Chuchotage or whispered translation

  • You will need it in the situations where it is impossible to speak loudly but you need to understand what is going on, or when the number of people in need of interpreting is very small (usually up to 3 people) or much smaller than the number of people understanding the original.    The interpreter resumes for you the most important parts of the content.
